چکیده

ABSTRACT: Objective: To evaluate the association between dental visits and variation in glycated hemoglobin index (A1C) of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) well or not glycemic control over time. Methods: Patients T2DM, A1C ≥ 7% (not well-controlled) < (well-controlled), who attended a primary care service were followed up from January 2010 to May 2018. The outcome was obtained reference laboratories. At beginning study, questionnaire behavioral, clinical, socioeconomic information carried out. Multiple linear regression analyses tested interaction terms all variables initial level well-controlled well-controlled). Results: sample consisted 507 people, 65% women, 66% individuals 55 74 years old, on average for 5.4 years. There an (p = 0.01) A1C. at least one visit had reduction -0.56 percentage point (95%CI -1.06 – -0.56), whereas group also increase 0.34 -0.18 0.87). Conclusion: Dental associated improvement approximately half-percentage considered as well-controlled.

Association between the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and serum lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by defect in insulin secretion and action resulting in hyperglycemia. Diabetic patients have deranged body metabolisms particularly for lipids which may result in abnormal levels of serum levels of lipids. Methods: The aim of this study is to find any possible correlation between the the glycosylated hemoglobin and the...

Correlation between Glycated Hemoglobin, Serum Glucose and Serum Lipid Levels in Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract Objective: Diabetes mellitus is the most common metabolic disease. One of the most common problems in diabetic patients is atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease which is induced by hyperlipidemia. Impaired lipid metabolism resulting from uncontrolled hyperglycemia has been implicated in cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients. Also, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) has been rega...

The association between nonadherence and glycated hemoglobin among type 2 diabetes patients using basal insulin analogs

BACKGROUND The main objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between adherence and both clinical (ie, glycated hemoglobin [HbA1c]) and nonclinical (ie, health status, work impairment, and health care-resource use) health outcomes among type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients using basal insulin. MATERIALS AND METHODS The 2012 US National Health and Wellness Survey dataset was used f...
